Catalina Kulczar

Director, Cinematographer & Co-Writer

Catalina is a Hungarian-Venezuelan award-winning filmmaker and photographer based in New York City. Her oeuvre is courageous, connected and honest, often exploring women’s roles in contemporary society.

She has been published in The New York Times and C41, among many other international publications. Catalina has also made portraits of musicians including David Byrne and St. Vincent, artist Shantell Martin, actors Oscar Isaac and Rachel Brosnahan, lawyers fighting for social justice including Sharyn Tenaji, CEO if the National Women’s Law Center Fatima Goss Graves, comedians, social entrepreneurs, typography designers, among many others.

Catalina was recently the cinematographer for the short films “Lindsay, Lindsey, Lyndsay” (2022) and “Can Love Hate” (2022). She has two upcoming projects: “Garúa” (Cinematographer and Producer) and “Bola!” (Cinematographer and Producer).


Sam Green, Co-Writer

Sam is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, and has been making films for over 25 years. His most recent film, 32 SOUNDS, is a live cinematic collaboration with electronic musician JD Samson. Previous “live documentaries” include A Thousand Thoughts (with the Kronos Quartet), The Measure of All Things and The Love Song of R. Buckminster Fuller (featuring the indie rock band Yo La Tengo).

Sam’s documentary The Weather Underground was nominated for an Academy Award and included in the 2004 Whitney Biennial. His work has been screened at the MoMa, the San Francisco International Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, PBS, and numerous other festivals worldwide.

Green’s other short documentaries include Julius Ceasar was Buried in a Pet Cemetery, lot 63, grave c, Pie Fight ‘69 (directed with Christian Bruno), N-Judah, 5:30 and The Fabulous Stains: Behind the Movie (directed with Sarah Jacobson).

Thomas Rivera Montes, Editor

Thomas Rivera Montes is a New York City-based Filmmaker, Producer, and freelance Editor. Born and raised in Lausanne (Switzerland), he graduated in 2015 from Brooklyn College (New York), with a B.A. in Film Production. The same year, his short film 'Act Zero' won the award for Best Directing at the 33rd Brooklyn College Film Festival, special mention at the Top Shorts Film Festival and was screened at the New York National Film Archives and the Queens Museum in 2016. 

His second short film 'Dare and Truth' was a selection at Outfest LA 2017, the Palm Springs Shortfest 2017 as well as the Newfest 2017. Montes recently finished working on 'The Gospel According to Andre', a documentary about the life of Vogue editor Andre Leon Talley, which premiered at TIFF.

Angélica Negrón, Composer

Angélica is a Puerto Rican composer and multi-instrumentalist. Her music has been described as “wistfully idiosyncratic and contemplative” (WQXR/Q2) while The New York Times noted her “capacity to surprise.” Negrón has been commissioned by the Bang on a Can All-Stars and Kronos Quartet, among others, and has composed numerous film scores.

She has composed numerous film scores, including Landfall (2020) and Memories of a Penitent Heart (2016), in collaboration with filmmaker Cecilia Aldarondo. She was the recipient of the 2022 Hermitage Greenfield Prize. Upcoming premieres include works for the Seattle Symphony, LA Philharmonic, NY Philharmonic Project 19 initiative and multiple performances at Big Ears Festival 2022. Negrón continues to perform and compose for film.


Gisela Fullà-Silvestre, Sound Design Supervisor 

Gisela is a composer, producer and sound designer/mixer from Barcelona, based in Brooklyn, NY. Her most recent work as a sound designer and sound supervisor for feature films include Ascension, iGilbert, and Mija. Other credits include award-winning films such as Suite Française, Z Nation TV series, The Wannabe and The Europa Report.

Under NOIA, her solo project, she combines traditional singing with electronic production. She has released 2 albums via Cascine Records and has reached over 4 million reproductions on Spotify.


Ayumi Ashley, Color Supervisor

Ayumi is a New-York based senior colorist at Rare Medium. Before moving cross-country, she co-founded MFD, a top finishing facility in San Francisco. With over a decade of color grading experience, Ayumi has worked with more brands, agencies, visionary directors, DPs, and chart-topping musical artists than she would name-drop.

Ayumi’s work has been screened at Sundance, SXSW and Tribeca, and her projects frequently appear as Vimeo Staff Picks and AdWeek Features. She has spoken at the NAB show, is a member of IATSE Local 700 Editor Guild (part of what makes her a Netflix-approved colorist) and Colorist Society International.

Born to continent-jumping musician parents, Ayumi  (pronounced I-You-Me) holds three different passports and speaks Japanese and English natively. Though her career in film was inspired by a childhood dream of meeting Danny Effam, it has yet to pan out.
